What is the best colour to use on the web?

Light/neutral colours are generally best. One's that don't make things look too dark or busy. You also want a colour which you can read text off easily. It's best to have a colour scheme that runs throughout. Two colours is best. Maybe white and sky blue.
White isn't really a colour, but a lack of colour, but it is the perfect canvas for the web. Everything stands out in it.
Light colours
White background definitely. Blue is dominant, and a lot of Internet Marketers use red which is quite effective, and black too.
I think it depends on the type of website, but I do like white.

a light coloured background makes the text and photos stand out more.
