Having a deodorant that works well is a must, particularly for those of us who have inherited our father’s ‘stink’ gene. Thanks Dad. I’ve recently been on a mission to find the best non-toxic deodorant.

What kind of deodorant works for you? Which one is the best you’ve tried?

Mitchum makes an excellent unscented one. They're tag line is "you can even skip a day", implying that you can go without a shower for up to 48 hours when you use it. I don't test the theory, but it sees me through a day perfectly.
I used to use that one. It was good, but I have found that with every deodorant I use, its effectiveness eventually wears off - like my pits become resistant or something - eek. So I had to move on from Mitchum.

I go for Dove, which is supposed to prevent white marks on black clothing and last 48 hours. They have also recently compressed their packaging, which is good for the environment, and storage.
I use a local brand called Nutter which is organic, though I do not need it often.

Nivea roll on - no black and white stains one
The best I've tried is Lady Speed Stick - Powder (not the floral scents which smell weird after mixing with perspiration).
I know what you mean. Apparently the one I used while I was dating my husband made me smell like "cat p*ss". Thanks babe!

I like sprays. Easy to apply and don't leave any residue. I think they last a bit longer as well, but that's just my opinion.
I can't do aerosols as they give me headaches.

On a really hot, humid day I have to resort to Norsca (green) Spray. Woolies Home Brand is a good, strong one as well.

When participating in an Army Course of a January, only one to keep me smelling ok was Aramis Stick Deodorant. It comes as a spray as well. My shirt was always wet, front & back, & my trousers at the back had a 'v' from waistband onwards, of sweat. The whole group was all the same! Fond memories, NOT!
My husband and I love Aramis. Thanks for weighing in.
