The school holidays can be expensive, especially if you've a number of kids - what are your ideas for the days you don't spend a cent? Do you stay home or do you head out to the shops or libraries and check out the activites they put on?

I check out what the local malls have on offer. Some of it is really good entertainment. We have one mall in particular which gets some big name kid acts and puts on a really good production.

Although the entertainment is free, don't be fooled into thinking it will be a free day. Somebody will inevitably get hungry. Or thirsty. Or both. Then you'll notice there is something you'd been meaning to buy on special. There goes the free day.

It's a good lure though. And the kids love it.
I hear ya!!
Bushwalking is always fun, and it's a great healthy hobby that kids can continue to pursue throughout their lives.
I like to explore suburbs we haven't been to before, and get out into the countryside. I also like to venture to some of the free shows - then the Questacon one travels, it's great...
Trips to the park, if the weather is good.
Depends on your city. Local shopping centres have some worthy holiday activities, as well as some local aquatic centres.
Hiking wilderness trails. It's a great way to say fit, and engage kids with nature.
