A Midsummer Night's Dream is my favourite. It has action, romance and comedy on so many levels. I just love going to see this play live, as directors make different adaptations and have emphasis on varying characters and parts of the plot.
I'm biased, as I studied 'Julius Caesar' for Grade X & 'Macbeth' for Grade XII.
What a combo! Couldn't have asked for a better one!
Both were gritty, played out various human foibles, plenty of dead bodies, comic relief.......they have the lot!
Have also informally 'studied'......
King Lear. Titus Andronicus. Twelfth Night. The Tempest.
Really enjoy just reading through them all.
Have a collection of various plays on DVD, which I enjoy watching, as all the actors/actresses are from RSC.
