If someone comes to your door to try and get you to convert to their religion and you're not interested, what do you do?
I have heard some suggestions which are funny, but not very polite. If, like me, you have children at home you probably want to set a good example for them in how to assert your personal boundaries while still using good manners. What do you think works best?
I am hoping the sign on our gate I put on recently warning to keep it shut because of the dog might help deter them. I haven't found a good solution as yet. I find it very annoying that I have to say "no" multiple times, and they ask me why I'm not religious and similar things which are really not their business. But I respect that they are human beings doing what they think is right so I don't want to shout at them or anything.
Can see persons' at front door from upstairs, but they can't see me, also they NEVER bother looking UP!
If cultists', just don't answer the door!
They get message eventually, & go on to annoy someone else.
Can't stand them. Religion is personal & has NOTHING to do with them!
My idiot of a f/i/l succumbed to one group, having to give a tenth of his wages each week to them. The family had 3 children at the time aged 5, 3 &1. No washing machine, so all clothes hand washed, & no car.
But he could afford to give cult their dues! Idiot, weak back-boned male!
