Even the healthiest of us can be struck low by the flu from time to time. What's the best way for a speedy recovery?

Drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as you can. Try to limit your contact with well people so you don't pass it on.
Lots of bed rest and water.
Rest, keep hydrated and eat.

Drink a lot of water, and ignore it!

I know this is difficult to do and probably I cannot relate to flu as only in the last few years have I even got a cold -and do not get the flu (touching wood furiously!)

I often think rest is not the answer as when you rest, you think too much, so if I was able, I would continue with my household chores but not go to work for fear of spreading it.

All of the above! A great product to try, too, is grapefruit seed extract. As its name indicates, it's a natural product made from the (very strong) essence of grapefruit. It tastes awful but is very powerful...whenever I take it, my colds and flus are gone in a few days, at the very most.
