Back in the early 1970ís, I loved 4711. My husband went to Bangkok for a visit & brought me home a 800 ml bottle of the stuff. Itís still in itís box I donít know if any of it has evaporated yet! I also love Red Door, after trying it for the 1st time at my motherís house. My mother has also given me an unopened bottle of Chanel No 5, that someone left at her place once, & 1/4 a bottle of Diorissmo which I havenít tried yet, but Iíll wear it to-day, as Iím going out to hear some classical music!
While hurrying through DJís recently, I had a newer Chanel perfume, sprayed onto a small card. I kept it in my handbag, & the smell was still on it, about a month later. It was just beautiful, but I wonít be buying it anytime soon, because it cost $265.00!!! I donít know the name of that 1.
I've a few which have been my faves for decades, since I first bought them Duty Free, & I just keep buying them, as they suit my skin admirably!
The old story 'when you're on a good thing, stick to it' certainly applies to my perfume purchases'!
'L'Air du Temps'
Have of recent times bought some '4711', & their Refresher Sheets are wonderful!
Yardley 'Lavender', have re-visited, along with its' Talc.
I'm a great believer in one has to 'smell nice' when going out, even if 'just shopping'!
