My favourite salami is South Australian's Garlic & Red Wine Danish Salami from Butch's Smallgoods. I normally don't eat salami as it is a processed and preserved meat; but when I do, I really want the good ones. This brand is one of the best and it is very flavoursome on sandwiches. It matches well with red wines too.
The problem is finding which Sydney delis stock it...
I have a friend who worked in a factory making it for many years and he once told me how they make it, and if you heard this, yo would never eat it again even though I did not ever get sick and liked it!
Don't often buy Salami, but IF I do, it'll be Mild! Can't hack Hot!
I like Chorizo, or Knackwurst, now & again.
Usually buy VERY thinly sliced Veal German or Ham Off the Bone or shaved Corned Meat!
I love this type of meat on a fresh bread roll, & a hot cuppa, as Lunch or Dinner, sometimes even!
