45 years years ago it was carnations, always. Then years later when tulips were sold most of the year round, they became my favourite flower of all time!. 1 of my sisters gave me 12 bulbs of 6 colours for my birthday, 1 year. One afternoon we went out & returned 45 minutes, & found our tulips heads in the middle of the road, in front of the house of the teenage boys who’d cut them off! No one saw them do it, but we know it was them! That was 21 years ago!
Freesias....they're so pretty and delicate, and their fragrance is exquisite. Here in Perth (Australia), where I live, they herald in the spring. You can smell them before you actually see them - and then I know that winter has comer to an end.
