There are so many lovely caravan parks all around Australia. Here in Western Australia, some of my favourites are the ones at Monkey Mia, Pravelley Beach (near Margaret River) and Cable Beach, just out of Broome. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact names! Others I can recall from my travels are the ones at the Warrumbungle National Park (NSW) and Hall's Gap (in the Grampions, Victoria).
Caravan parks are a popular part of the Australian lifestyle and suit our relaxed, outdoor way of life perfectly. Most are situated in popular tourist locations, surrounded by nature, and are extremely family-friendly, catering for people of all ages and backgrounds.
We've been in a few now and hope to travel so will likely be in a lot more. I particularly liked Maiden's Inn Holiday Park in Moama. We had a cabin overlooking the Murray River. We could sit on the decak and watch house boats and paddlesteamers go by. The afternoon we arrived there was a pair of kookaburras sitting on the fence. We could walk from the cabin to a beach area on the river.
